With Bella Swan now Bella Cullen after her marriage to Edward, so too does the newly made vampire show her strength in the final film installment of the “Twilight Saga.”
In recent “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2” movie news, a new press release this Monday morning reveals a surprising change in Kristen Stewart’s iconic character. Soon to be seen in the upcoming take to the big screen, Bella Cullen has now been described as in "control" over her husband, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and a new dynamic will be formed in their relationship during this last movie.
According to a new post by “Hollywood Life” this week, “Breaking Dawn Part 2” will show fans a major change in the close relationship between Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan.
With her new vampire powers and instincts to protect her daughter, Renesmee, the new Bella has now been said by sources to take “control” of dangerous situations in the film, even outdoing her new husband in the leading role.
According to “Breaking Dawn Part 2” director’s partner Jack Morissey, there will be a definite shift in the dynamics between the two in the hotly anticipated movie. When asked whether Robert Pattinson—Edward, that is—will once again be needed to protect his human love in the film, Morissey replied with a definite no.
“No, Bella is a vampire now,” he recently reported. “She is the one in control. [Fans of the series] will like this.”
With actress Kristen Stewart often seen in the franchise as the helpless figure, it will certainly be a welcome change of pace to see the star show what she’s made of on the big screen. With this change in relationships, “Breaking Dawn Part 2” may be just the exciting finale fans are counting down the days for before its release later this year.
The cast of “Twilight Saga” will also be making a special appearance at Comic-Con 2012 this July. Fans at the upcoming Comic-Con event will not only be able to meet the stars of “Breaking Dawn Part 2,” but also take part in sneak peeks of the movie this fall, additional trailer details, and the most up-to-date “Twilight” news.
For those fans who have waited to see Bella take a more assertive role in her relationship and fight to protect her husband, her daughter Renesmee, and the rest of her friends and family, “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2” might at last be the film to see this female human-turned-vampire in action.
Breaking Dawn Part 2” will sink its teeth into theaters in the U.S. with an expected release date of November 16, 2012, according to IMDb’s internet site.

Renesmee revealed! Fans get first look at Bella and Edward's daughter

"Twilight" fans have been wondering about Renesmee Cullen's looks ever since they first read about her birth in "Breaking Dawn." She arrived on the movie screen in "Breaking Dawn Part 1," but fans didn't get a good look at the half-vampire, half-human child until now.

Renesmee (played by 11-year-old Mackenzie Foy) appears on the cover of the new issue of Entertainment Weekly with her movie parents, Bella (Kristin Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), as well as Jacob (Taylor Lautner), who imprinted upon her at birth and has become her protector.

Foy's Renesmee is lovely, with long dark curls similar to Stewart's, and a serious, most un-childlike expression. In the Entertainment Weekly article, even Stewart commented that the young actress looked like she could really be related to her on-screen parents. "Even our hands look similar,” she told EW. "It was kind of strange."

Cast and crew had only positive words for Foy, but Pattinson said that the adults on-set had to curb their casual language around her. "She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something," he told the magazine.

"Breaking Dawn Part 2" hits theaters Nov. 18.

'Breaking Dawn, Part 2' To Be Released November 2012

For better or worse, the end is in sight, Twilighters. Summit Entertainment has announced the official release date for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2." The final film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series is scheduled to open in theaters on November 16, 2012.

When Summit revealed that "Breaking Dawn" would be split into two films — with the first film's release date set for November 18, 2011 #&8212; there was much speculation that the final chapter would drop the following summer. This news puts the second film out almost a full year after Part 1, no doubt creating an excruciating waiting period for the film franchise's extremely dedicated fans.

With no official statement accompanying the news of Part 2's release date, we, too, can only speculate as to why Summit has chosen to wait a full year between releasing the two films. One likely reason is the already-crowded summer 2012 movie calendar, which has been padded with several other highly anticipated and established franchise films. "The Avengers," "Madagascar 3" and "Men in Black 3" all open in May; June will deliver a "Star Trek" sequel; the re-booted "Spider-Man" is nestled in the July 4 slot (occupied this year by "Eclipse"), followed closely by another "Ice Age" and a third "Batman."

Now that both films' release dates are set, there are a few other unresolved "Dawn" issues, namely the MPAA rating and whether director Bill Condon will choose to film the two parts in 3-D.

"That decision has yet to be made," Summit distribution chief Richie Fay told MTV of the rating question last month. "It's still the source of a discussion."

The 3-D conversation, on the other hand, involves both financial and creative decisions. "There's certainly a financial part of the discussion," Ray said. "And yes, there's a certain amount of technology that has to be considered and accounted for. But it really comes down to the creative folks.

"In any of these roundtable conversations, [Summit CEO] Rob Friedman has always been concerned about the 'Twilight' patron," Fay added. "His concern is always the people that come in to see this movie. He doesn't want to turn them off or offend. That's why it's a creative decision. A big factor is the perception of our audience. What are their feelings going to be? If it lends itself to being a better movie because of 3-D, then that's the technology we'll use."

'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Exclusive Clip Premieres

Vampires may come out after dark, but there weren't any bloodsuckers at the Brooklyn, New York, Target store Friday night — just roughly a hundred women (and a few guys) who wanted to meet one. The crowd was anxiously waiting to pick up the DVD of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," which was released at midnight.

But it wasn't just the thrill of re-watching Bella and Edward's honeymoon that had these NYC Twi-hards — some of whom had been in line since 8 p.m. — bubbling with the kind of excitement normally reserved for a newborn vamp chasing his first kill. At 11 p.m., as promised, exclusive footage from "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" was shown for the first time at 500 Target stores nationwide.


"Part 1" may have featured a wedding, but the fandom wars over who should have Bella's heart were still raging on as the countdown to new footage began, with passionate discussions about Team Edward and Team Jacob popping up throughout the crowd. Friends Patrice Waite, 21, and Cynthia Rodriguez, 22, may not be able to agree on matters of vampire vs. werewolves, but the duo, who lovingly refer to themselves as "Team Switzerland," can agree that they are psyched to see "Part 2," even as they reminisced over "Part 1" scenes such as the romantic wedding and the intense birth of Renesmee.

"In a perfect world," Waite said, "the scene [I want to see tonight] would be when they are at the cottage, and they go all out [having sex], breaking walls and stuff."

"I want to see more of Renesmee [in Part 2]" Lauren Perciballi, 25, said. "I'm anxious to see how that works out because it's a vampire/human, so she's growing at a rapid pace. I'm interested to see the special effects behind that."

The actual clip may have been sex-and-Renesmee-free, but the five-minute-long tease certainly worked to entice fans gearing up for the premiere of "Part 2" next November. Aside from some behind-the-scenes shots of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner preparing for battle in the woods, the full, exclusive-to-Target scene is from early on in the movie, when Bella discovers a note in a book with instructions from Alice, explaining what to do to get new passports. The clip showcases a heart-to-heart between Edward and Bella and features a swoon-worthy kiss that made the audience scream. The best part? Judging from fan reaction, it was the first shot of vampire Bella, whose red eyes and special-effect-aided speed definitely enticed Twi-hards to be even more excited for the next chapter in the saga.

"[The clip] was good," Waite said. "Of course, it was just a little clip, making us want more. I wasn't expecting that, but it was pretty good. I loved seeing [vampire Bella] zoom across the room."

Rodriguez agreed. "I loved Bella's piercing red eyes. I thought they did a good job [with the vampire stuff]. I'm even more excited for 'Part 2' now."

Not everyone at the event was a vampire lover though. Special sneak peek or not, the fandom wars continue on. While Kimberlee Imperato was excited about the special footage and loved newly vamped Bella, her daughter, 14-year-old BaileeAnn Darbasie, wasn't impressed. "[My mom] dragged me here," she explained. "I'm a Harry Potter fan."

'Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' Sells 3.2 Million Discs in Two Days

Summit says that the penultimate film was also downloaded 50,000 and counted 80,000 VOD transactions.

Summit Entertainment is going out with a bang. The company, which last month announced it is being acquired by Lionsgate for $412.5 million in cash and stock, scored the top-selling home entertainment release of the week – and, so far, the year – with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.

Released last Saturday instead of the previous Tuesday, the latest installment in the hugely successful vampire-movie franchise was in stores for only two days during the week-long tracking period. Even so, Summit said it sold 3.2 million discs, 50,000 downloads and 80,000 VOD transactions on those two days.
Not surprisingly, Breaking Dawn easily bowed at No. 1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert overall disc sales chart.

Breaking Dawn was followed in the No. 2 spot by fellow newcomer Lady and the Tramp, from Walt Disney Studios, making its Blu-ray Disc debut. The No. 3 spot went to a third new release, A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, the third installment in Warner/New Line’s edgy, stoner-buddy comedy franchise, which grossed $35 million in theaters.

On Nielsen’s dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart, Lady and the Tramp narrowly edged out Breaking Dawn as the week’s top seller. Very Harold and Kumar Christmas bowed at No. 3.

Just 25 percent of Breaking Dawn’s overall sales came from the Blu-ray Disc edition, compared to 38 percent for Harold and Kumar.

On Home Media Magazine’s weekly video rental chart, Breaking Dawn debuted at No. 3, behind holdovers Drive, from Sony (repeating at No. 1) and Disney’s Real Steel (repeating at No. 2).
